Charles joined IWNC as a Senior Consultant in 2007 after working with UNICEF-China for the previous eight and a half years in charge of Communications and Fundraising.
Charles was trained as a regional training facilitator under UNICEF’s Global “Management Excellence Program” (MEP), subsequently conducting week-long management training workshops for UNICEF offices throughout the East Asia and Pacific Region. Since joining IWNC, Charles has designed and delivered team development and leadership programs for senior and mid-level teams from leading multinationals. He also developed the IWNC “Team Booster Program” which has since proved one of IWNC’s most successful solutions.
Having worked for over 20 years in the United Nations system, Charles has particularly focused his facilitation and consulting work on multicultural aspects of team development and “the soft skills” associated with high-performing teams. A native of the UK and a Law/Sociology graduate from Durham University, Charles holds certifications with the MBTI and HBDI and is an experienced interpreter of IWNC’s “5-C” Team Effectiveness Assessment, which provides insights into a range of team competencies, including motivation. Achievements- Negotiated and maintained a network of alliances in the worlds of sports, entertainment, media, PR and advertising -- including Saatchi and Saatchi and Ogilvy—all working for children and for free.Led the UNICEF negotiating team that developed the "Driving Dreams" partnership with AUDI, which contributed over USD600,000 to UNICEF in two years.
